Kim Cou is one of the most prominent and dynamic female artists emerging from Costa Rica’s contemporary electronic music scene. Her identity behind the decks is characterized by a deep and immersive exploration of melodic, atmospheric, and driving sounds, seamlessly navigating the realms of Techno, Progressive House, and Indie Dance.

Her musical journey began in 2020 as a self-taught passion, which she later solidified through formal technical and theoretical training at the prestigious DJLab academy in the heart of San José. During this period of growth and artistic immersion, she joined the Atypical Noise collective (alongside Artro, Tinzak, and Subcons), a pivotal platform for the development and promotion of vanguard music culture in the region.

With a rapidly ascending career, Kim Cou has firmly established herself as a key figure in the Costa Rican underground circuit. Her exceptional track selection and crowd reading have allowed her to share the stage with world-renowned international heavyweights and local pioneers, including Nicole Moudaber, Henri Bergmann, Sama’ Abdulhadi, Who Else, and Morttagua, among others. Furthermore, her name has graced the lineups of landmark venues such as Antik, Bombom, and Avalon, as well as highly acclaimed events like Electric Animals, 3AM Techno, and the exclusive Maracatán boat parties.

Taking her sonic identity beyond traditional boundaries, Kim Cou has recorded specialized sets across various scenic landscapes in Costa Rica and high-impact international locations, such as the Dead Sea. Currently, she is channeling her vision into music production, with the clear objective of expanding her global footprint and continuing to share her infectious energy and unique underground sound with the international electronic music community.
